SKYWALK BIOKOVO
OVERVIEW
There is a spectacular lookout point – the Biokovo Skywalk at the thirteenth kilometre of the Biokovo road, in the south-western part of Biokovo Nature Park. This “heavenly promenade” in the shape of a horseshoe outside the cliff and with a glass floor surface towers over Makarska on at a height of 1228 metres.
The peculiarity of this lookout is that it was built on the edge of a cliff, above an abyss which is about a hundred metres deep. The protective barrier is also made of glass so all celestial walkers can clearly see the abyss above which they stand. It is a place which most definitely has the most beautiful view of the Makarska Riviera and its islands, and sometimes of Cape Monte Gargano in Italy.
